About
Who created Laughter Yoga?

Indian doctor Madura Kataria invented Laughter Yoga in 1995 to help his patients manage the stresses of everyday life. When researching the biological benefits of laughter, he discovered that the body does not know the difference between real and fake laughter. Combining yogic breathing with playful laughter exercises brought fantastic results, and patients started recovering from many stress-related illnesses. Today, Laughter Yoga is practised in over 100 countries across the world in a spirit of healthy rebellion.
